Run
8 Train Simulator Multi-player Mode
The
InSimOptions - Client tab
Your
friend calls you and tells you that he is hosting a
session in Run 8 Train Simulator and that there is a
hot ethanol train (G-CNBRIC) in one of the inspection
tracks at Barstow and needs a crew to take it on into
Bakersfield, and you tell him, "I'll be right there!"..
So
the Run8 Train Simulator "Client" tab is where
you need to go to join a hosted session. But first you
will need the host's IP address and the network password
he or she set up for the session in order to join. This
information is entered near the top of the tab, and
then you select "Join Session" to join.
Once
you have joined the session, the "Connected to
Host" check box will be marked and you should be
good to go.
If
you plan on having a crew member such as a Conductor
working with you then make sure to check the "Allow
Crew Interaction" so that they can interact with
your train.
The
"Spawn or Remove Train" section let's you
spawn different trains at different locations on the
route, however, if you are joining a session where a
train is waiting for you you will want to come in on
one of the Extra Boards.
You
can also use the "Remove my train from network"
if you find yourself on a through train and you reach
the end of the line and need to remove it.
That
sums up how Multi-player works in Run 8 Train Simulator
and now we go on to CTC Dispatching so Click
